Jim Cornutt – Room 202
Our Life Group is a safe space where we can lift up our members in prayer, sharing heartfelt concerns with each other. We study the word of God in an interactive way, loving the different thoughts God’s Word impresses on different people. We are made up of singles and married couples, and we all enjoy sharing laughter as well as God’s instructions. Discussing God’s word in light of the historical reality of countries and customs adds to our lessons and gives us a clearer understanding of what was happening in Biblical times and how it relates to us today.
Cary Herring – Room 205
Our group is one that is hungry for the Word and is a tremendous privilege to a part of. It is a joy every Sunday to come together and learn from each other. Members are loving and caring to each other and others. Everyone studies the lesson and contributes during the meeting on Sunday, and each one puts love into action through ministry throughout the week. This group is continuing to grow in Christ and seeking to become more like Him.
Linda Riley (Women’s Group) – Mod 1
Our Women’s Life Group consists of single, widowed, and married women, who desire to study God’s word verse by verse. The goal is to come to a greater understanding of the scriptures and apply them to our lives, so that we may be effective witnesses to others. We have many opportunities for one to engage in ministry outside the church and seek to do so often. The class is taught by Linda Riley, who has been faithfully teaching and serving at MeadowBrook for many years.
Pam Clough – Room 300
The one constant about our Life Group is that we love studying God’s word together. We are very interactive and all participate in one way or another. We use Masterworks and God’s Holy Word to delve into the message God has for us each week. The group is led by Pam Clough but we are an open group sharing our experiences and the lessons God has taught us along our journey. A strong component of our class is prayer. We believe in the power of prayer and bring names of the lost and prodigals to be lifted up. We share our burdens through prayer requests and rejoice with each other as prayers are answered.
Skaggs/Bonner – Room 305
Our Life Group consists of couples, widows and other singles in their 50-70s. We are rooted in our love for the Lord and each other. We seek to go deeper in our Bible study and understanding. The group has a strong small group setting and love getting together for functions outside of the Sunday morning Life Group. It is taught by Charlie Skaggs and Debbra Bonner who encourage discussion of the lessons and offer opportunities for the group to share their life experiences and what God has done for them.
Lancaster/Watkins – Room 307
The Lancaster/Watkins Life Group is an interactive group where members feel ownership because it is taught in a facilitative, rather than lecture style, that provokes class participation. We have developed a close bond with each other through living life together, and new members say they feel it is a place that they feel connected with our church. Two other life groups have formed as a result of the multiplying ministry of this group. We enjoy studying the Bible by using the MasterWork curriculum.
Mike Wilcutt – Room 308
Our group has a deep love for God’s word and is made up of a wide background of experience from almost every type occupation. Over half the class is retired but still in the active years of their life which opens the door for great ministry done in service to the Lord. Along with the studying of God’s Word, we socialize together, pray for one another, give generously, and serve together during the week in a variety of MeadowBrook’s ministries in the community. This group a larger group and is faithfully taught by Mike Wilcutt who is married to Carol. Mike is assisted by Don Campbell.
Charles Culverhouse – Conference Center (On Rainbow Drive)
The Biblical principle on which our class operates is based on 1 Timothy 1:5 (NLT):
5 The purpose of our instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith.
The reason we gather, is to build each other up in the faith. We also enjoy outstanding mission work filled with joy and satisfaction. There are opportunities to grow spiritually, through Bible study, and mission work, and prayer. You are always welcome here in the Conference Center, 9:30 Sunday mornings. Bring your Bible and a smile.
